The Presidential Search Committee’s primary task is to identify and consider qualified individuals for the position of President and Vice-Chancellor of The University of British Columbia, and to recommend its preferred candidate to the UBC Board of Governors for approval.
A critical element of this process is consultation with University stakeholders with regard to the qualities of UBC’s next President. Please assist the Presidential Search Committee in finding the best possible candidate for this vitally important role by providing your views and advice on the following:
- necessary and desirable characteristics, leadership skills, qualifications, values, and experience of candidates
- priorities, opportunities and challenges facing the University over the next 5-10 years
The Committee also welcomes suggestions for prospective candidates. All communications received during this search will be held in the strictest confidence.
