Noah Arney

Mr. Noah Arney is a PhD student at UBC’s Okanagan School of Education where his research focuses on how educational philosophy intersects with policy and curriculum in postsecondary education.

Noah is an education professional and Certified Career Development Professional living in Kamloops B.C. After receiving his BA from UFV and BEd from UBC he began his career as a high school teacher then changed course and has worked in postsecondary since 2010. He has worked in various staff, faculty and administration roles in BC and Alberta, and his primary focus has been on career development, work-integrated learning, student affairs, policy, and governance. He also has a MEd from the University of Calgary in Educational Research. His research focuses on work-integrated learning, transferable skills development, educational policy, and Indigenous educational philosophies.

He has also worked closely with the Canadian Association of College and University Student Services and the Canadian Career Development Foundation. He is currently a Fellow with the Centre for Mindful Engagement at UBC.
