The Board of Governors is committed to the principle of accountability to the students, faculty, and staff of The University of British Columbia, as well as to the public which is served by the University, and demonstrates this commitment by conducting its public business at meetings which are open to the public. Webcasts of open Board of Governors meetings are available for one year.
The Board of Governors meets in accordance with the annual calendar framework approved in February 2021.
Staff, Visitors and Press at Open Meetings
In accordance with the Board’s meeting rules, members of the public who wish to attend an open meeting of the Board of Governors must register at least two days in advance of the meeting. Please email email@example.com to register your attendance.
The number of visitors that can be accommodated at open Board meetings is limited by space availability. Seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Certain matters are of a confidential nature and should be handled with due and appropriate sensitivity; in this regard, the Board is guided by the Board Meetings Policy (GA8).
